Organic Nigella Seeds (Black Cumin) Organic Nigella Seeds (Black Cumin) Nigella, from the buttercup family, is a plant with thin leaves. It is a herbaceous plant with an average height of 20 - 30 cm. It is usually grown from seeds and after the germination period, small blue flowers bloom during the flowering period. The small black grains, known as black cumin seeds, are found in capsules at the top of the thin herbaceous branches of the plant. These grains inside the capsules are green when first grown and turn black in colour with maturity. Apart from its use in homes, black cumin seed cream and black cumin seed soap are produced for skin care. Since it is a useful nutrient, black seed capsules, black seed pills, black seed tea, black seed honey and black seed powder are produced as food supplements.
